Announcing our musical Guest of Honor, Dust Bowl Faeries! Dust Bowl Faeries began as an all women trio in 2014. Since that time, they have evolved to become a multi-gendered, inter-generational duet and/or five-piece ensemble. Dust Bowl Faeries have performed extensively in the U.S. from New York to New Orleans. Most recently the band released a new album, The Plague Garden, and a music video, Candy Store, produced and directed by Lisa M. Thomas of Thin Edge Films. In 2020 the band released ‘Vampire Tango,’ a 16mm noir film also produced by Lisa M. Thomas. In 2019 they published a six song EP, ‘Beloved Monster’, produced by Floyd Fisher of Upstate Brooklyn, and they debuted their award winning music video, ‘Zebra’, produced/directed by Lisa M. Thomas and shot at Lumberyard Performing Arts Center. In 2018 the band released a Remix EP, ‘The Dark Ride Mixes’ with Floyd Fisher and they launched their collaboration with filmmaker Lisa Thomas with the debut of Sirens, a music video about misogyny in the music industry. Dust Bowl Faeries were selected for a 2018 performing arts residency at The Church in Mt. Vision, and in 2017 they toured from New York to New Orleans where they attended a musical residency at Onelovenola Arts Collective. The band’s self-titled debut album, released in 2016, features Tommy Stinson (Replacements) & Melora Creager (Rasputina).
